I've had these burning questions
Melting me down, out from inside...
I've struggled to ignore them
But I can't put them out! (No!)
Lately it seems, I've
Been falling asleep in my headphones...
Just pondering why
Asking the ceiling as if she knows...
And each time I try
Skipping these wishes, they sink like stones... (I'm skipping stones... [x12])
Straight out of your sky
And back into my head to haunt my bones...again... (They're sinking... [x7])
I'm sick and tired...
Of pouring my heart out into that broken glass!
To an insider...
There are some things I just shouldn't have to ask...
I've had these burning questions
Melting me down, out from inside...
I've struggled to ignore them
But I can't put them out of my mind...
They do grow dimmer now and then
But soon those embers reignite...
"You can't forget her," they've said
Shining like a flower in the sky...
I nod off to the ceiling fan
Spinning my thoughts into a web, over my bed...
It becomes a dream catcher
Weaving nightmares into a net, inside my head...
That blooms like a moonflower
And I launch like a moth, straight into the trap, again...
